Cleanup Genre table

The other day, I reconfigured the genres in my mp3-collection with mp3tag (a tool to reccommend!). However, I would even like Subsonic to regenereate the table containing the genres to reflect my changes. Is there a way to do this with or without SQL? Thankful for any advice!

I think it will be automatically regenerated next time the search index is refreshed.

So...let´s say I take my whole collektion and mark it as genre "Metal" - the only thing swowing in the genrestable will be "Metal"
This list is not static?

The list in the tag editor is static, but the list in the random playlist generator is based on the genres actually found in your music files.
