Can't connect to subsonic server on port 80

I am having an issue where I can't access my subsonic server on port 80.
On every other port it works out great but when I set it to port 80 and try to enter the address "ip:80", nothing loads and the page will remain blank.
I had this set up working for a long time but recently after updating my java, it doesn't want to work anymore. I've tried uninstalling the java update and reinstalling. I done the same with subsonic.
The reason I want to use port 80 because no other ports will allow me access while I am at work. I have tried different ports but it will not work on my work office's network.

At work, I use internet explorer.

Version:: 4.7 (build 3106) – September 12, 2012
Server:: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_13, Windows 7 (55.7 MB / 80.2 MB)

At work I am using Windows 7 and I am running the server on Windows 7.

Have you tried not putting the port no. after your IP address?
Port 80 is the standard http port and so doesn't need to specified
However port 80 may not work if any other apps on the pc are also using it eg IIS.

Yeah, I've tried with and without the port number. When I put on the port number, it will go straight without the port number (in the address bar)
Is there a way to see what problem is currently occupying my port?

Yes you can use the netstat command tool in windows to find out what processes are using what ports.
If you shutdown SS before using that command you will find out if any thing else is using port 80.
Use Google for further info as it will list the PID of the process and you need to use task manager to find out what it is.

Open Task Manager and on the Performance tab there is a button that launches “Resource Monitor”. Once open, go to the Network tab and under “TCP Connections” you can view a list of processes and ports – both sortable.
