android network error - connecting

Hi all,

I know this has be asked, but I have not bee able to find a resolution...

Connecting from an android phone using app I get "a network error occurred".

However...
1. I can connect and play music from a PC outside the lan on my_external_IP:4040
2. I can connect and play music from the server
3. canyouseeme.org reports it can see my service on :4040 OK
4. Have both jre6 & jre7 installed
5. If I try http://myaddress.subsonic.org it says "The trial period has expired", But at my_external_ip:4040 it says "This feature is available until March 25, 2013. After that you must donate to use it permanently."

Is there some problem with the "Free trial" period?????

What to try next... If I can get this working I will pay...

Try changing your myname.subsonic.org address...although seemingly unlikely, someone else may have already used your initial name. Update your new name by selecting 'SAVE' button in Settings-Networking...needs to 'respond successfully', which it should do owing to the fact your 4040 is indeed working fine.
