I have just downloaded Subsonic hopefully as a replacement for Audiogalaxy! Unfortunately when I try to set it up I am faced with a "Wrong Username or password" message however I have not yet set any username or password. I try as instructed to enter "admin" as username and as the password but then get the Wrong Username or password message. I am using Windows 7 64 version bit on PC using Chrome as my browser and am using a DLink DIR 615 router. I have as suggested installed and downloaded the latest version of Java (64bit) . Help please. Thanks

This does sometimes happen with a new install
BUT SS does require 32bit Java so make sure you have that installed.

Hi I have now tried uninstalling Java and subsonic and then cleaning the registry with CC cleaner and then reintsalling the 32 bit version of java. However I still get the wrong username or password error when I try to start subsonic using admin as the user and password. Please any ideas?

Do a clean install - delete the c:\subsonic folder then re-install.
When accessing the web interface for the first time SS should bring up a warning about the default password and telling you to change it.

Hurray Thanks very much. I deleted the install of subsonic and used ccleaner to get rid of any reference to it in the registry. I then downloaded a new copy and installed. It worked straight away! Thanks very much.
Think it probably was installing the 32 bit java even though I have a 64 bit version of Windows 7
