can you see me says success on port 4040 , I am forwarding that port correctly I have a static ip set up
it was fine yesterday

but now says idle and I cant connect

please help !!

Unless you're using a different address than the one in my last post, none of this makes any sense.

If canyouseeme.org gives you an affirmative response to the SS port and your SS site is working locally, then it should be working if you have a valid license installed.

Can you access the site using your external ip and the SS port number? If that works then it's the redirection that is messed up. That, however would make the message you're getting "Status: user.subsonic.org responded successfully." non-sensical.

As complicated as the details can be, the overall steps to get everything working are pretty simple.

Install SS and verify that it works properly on the host machine.

Verify that SS can be accessed from another device on your internal network. If this works, then the host machine's firewall must be open.

Next, make sure your router is forwarding the SS port to the host machine. If Canyouseeme.org says your SS port is open and responding, then you should also be able to connect from outside your network. One caveat I'll put here is that you should let us know if there are any unusual network setups going on that might screw things up. Things like double NAT devices, reverse double proxy servers with all manner of other wierd stuff that isn't the norm. Also, some antivirus programs have been seen to be problematic.

Test external access from outside the network or a cell phone using your cell carriers data connection. You can also get someone outside your network to test for you. First use http://EXTERNAL_IP_address:SS_portnumber to verify that access is valid, then test the Servername.subsonic.org address to validate that the redirection is working.

That having been reviewed, where are you not getting a connection in the above process?

ive tried allot of new things

rebooting rooter , assigning new ips

reinstalling subsonic , static ips the works

I still have the same problem

however I used my android over the mobile network to access the server like you said .... and it worked

but if I use wireless internet connection it doesn't work .

You're throwing a lot aginst the wall, and some of it may stick, but you still need to take a methodical approach to find the trouble spot. When you say a wireless connection isn't working, are you talking about a wireless connection INSIDE your network? Using what kind of device, your phone? The details are important when trying to figure all this out.

If you reread my prev. post, you may realize that although you threw a lot back at me, you still haven't answered my question. What works and what doesn't? Has anyone tested connecting from outside your network successfully?

If your only problem is connecting over wireless from inside your network, that raises different issues that may just turn out to be the router's setup or it could indicate that the router is starting to fail. There's no way to know that for sure until you can verify that connecting from outside the network is working properly. It may also be the wireless setup on the device you're trying to test with, either hardware or setup.

If your trying to connect with the phone over wireless and it's not working, does the phone connect over wireless to the demo server? We have seen some router that don't do loopback properly, that is using an external address to get back to the internal address. In that case, you may need to set up a seperate entry for when you use wireless inside the network using the internal IP:port# - that's a router issue that may or may not be able to be fixed. Some routers just need loopback settings enabled, some just don't do it.

I am going to do a step by step diagnostic and do everything you listed
then ill give you a detailed ordered piece of info
