db won't initialize

SS has been running fine for a long time just fine, probably 2 years now. recently my CPU started failing which caused numerous BSOD. Now, as of two days ago, SS will start (according to Services and tray icon). I can get to SS Control Panel but can't get a browser connection on 4040. I did a full uninstall of SS and Java, followed by clean install of Java then Subsonic, rebooting after each one, and still have the same issue - the Control Panel showing SS is running, but get error 503 Service Unavailable when trying to access via browser and get error "server unavailable" from all clients - Win 7 pro, AMD Athlon X2 270, 8GB, SS 4.7, Java 6.39

First thing to try is to turn off the firewall and check using the local host link from the SS control panel.
If it works you know what the problem is.

Solved/resolved

I don't know the root-cause of my problem but here's what I did since yesterday's post:
Removed IIS features, rebooted, uninstalled Java, rebooted, uninstalleded Subsonic, rebooted. Then installed IIS services, rebooted, installed Java6 x64, rebooted, java6 x86, rebooted, deleted all subsonic folders, rebooted, reinstalled SS, rebooted and was able to connect via the web browser.

Rescanning of my 101,000 tracks is in progress.
I've re-added my user accounts and once the scan is complete I'll be golden.
Subsonic rocks!
