Hello,

I just installed SubSonic. I won't be using it so often so I would like to disable the auto-start when I boot Windows and activate my server only when I want. I tried to disable the SubSonic Service in msconfig, but I could not SubSonic at all. Is there a way to to this? I don't like having softwares running in the back of my computer when I'm not using them...

Thanks!

Use the systray Control Panel to stop a running instance...the 'manual start' of the service should work, reboot and check. :)

Well wasn't that easy!!! haha

I didn't think it would work since it was written "Not running. Auto-start.", but yes the service in not running in the background anymore.

Thanks!

Sadly, it's does not work at long term. I didm't re-activate it, but the service is still running at Windows startup.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Go into the services control panel and change the "subsonic" service to "Manual" instead of "Automatic."

The "Auto-start" disappeared in the Subsonic control panel! Looks good. I'll check when I reboot for a few days.

Thanks!
