Completely Removing Chat for All Users in SS4.7

Hi,

I have searched and found a few suggestions on how to remove chat for all users, But I have been unsuccessful. The method I tried was to open right_jsp.java and edit the loop adding messages.
Does this method still work and if not what does. I simply don't want chat showing in the right hand pain.
