Subsonic Forum

Hello everyone,

I have trouble with my new instalation of subsonic. the folder containing my music is read as empty by subsonic....

It's done like this : Music -> A / B / C / D / E / F / G / H / .... each letter containing the albums. When I get the way "folder" and scan it, nothing happens ....

(I can navigate by folders against and play music through other programs such as Ajaxplorer)

Do you have any media under the "root" folder (ie ./Media) ? If so, you will need to stick that into a subfolder somewhere, or move the entire "root" into a separate subfolder that has nothing in it except the "Media" folder.

I had this issue also, and it drove me nuts trying to resolve it!

In fact I found where the problem is.

To use my media folder with another type of server, I did a ln-s to the folder containing the media.

My setup is like this:

Subsonic other server
↓ ↓
Media folder ←ln-s→ mounted file

Some other apps can't access the root folder.

I dont understand why I still can't use the root folder with subsonic but have to go through the mounted folder.
