Hello !
I followed the installation stept. That was easy.
Created the database, created the media folders and added them as I see in tutorial.
All was easy.
But now, after SCAN MEDIA FOLDERS NOW, when I connect with SUBCLIENT I cannot see anything.
I guess because nothing is inserted in SHARED MEDIA ?!
I cannot find how to add my media to SHARED.

A fully support would be welcome.

Try the "Media folders" setting instead of "Shared media".

The only time you will see something in the "Shared Media" section is if you have clicked the "Share" link for an album of playlist or song. Then a "Shared Media" link will show there, and you can manage its expiration or existence.

Select one or more tracks.

If you select them in the album view, click the "more actions" drop down list at the bottom and choose "share."

If you want to share an active player playlist, choose "share" from the player's "more actions" drop down list.

As ADMIN I can see all the tracks in left ordered vertically
As a USER I cannot see anything on the subsonic page...
I cannot find the ALBUM view...
I cannot find any way to share my videos to another user
I can share music, but it is public, all I want is:
Another user logs to my subsonic webpage and let him see my videos, without possibility to download.

You are mistaken as to what the "share" function does.

The "share" function was created to allow you to share a song or playlist with a non-subsonic user. Like on facebook or twitter or something.

Choosing to "share" an item will create a link that, when another person clicks on it, will open a "guest" subsonic player window with only the songs you "shared" available.

To share something in this way:

1. Find an album in your collection and get to the point where it's individual tracks are visible in the center of your browser window with its album art, if any. This is "Album View," where you can see the details of a particular album.
2. Check the check box next to the tracks on that album that you want to share.
3. Choose "Share" from the "More Actions" drop down list at the bottom of the track listing.

What is the solution for me to add a user (eg. Maxx) and give him access just to play my files ?
Maxx will login to http://my-static-ip:4040

While logged in as an admin:

1. Settings->Users
2. Make sure that the drop down list says "New User"
3. Give them the rights that you want them to have by checking the rights boxes (or unchecking).
4. Enter their username (Maxx it sounds like), email address and desired password.
5. Click "save."

I allready do this but Maxx cannot see anything

Send me a PM with your server address, and Maxx's password and I will check from here to see what is wrong.

I'm guessing he just doesn't understand what he is looking at... he can either log in and see the interface or he can't.

(This is assuming you are running standard subsonic. If you are running a variant (MusicCabinet, Madsonic) it may be different.

You have all of your files in the root of your media share folder.

Either move them all into a subfolder, or share the folder one level above.

Then rescan your library.

Not that I go back and look, I didn't realize that when you said "subclient" you meant "Subsonic mobile client."

The remote API does not show any results that are in the root of a media share folder.
