Cable modem blocking ports?

spent quite a few hours trying to figure this
out.
Could my cable modem be blocking my
Ports?
after I cable replaced the modem subsonic
Stopped working..

With a new cable modem, you received a new IP address. You will need to check your external IP address to ensure your domain name (if using a dynamic DNS provider) is set to the correct IP address, or just use your external IP address.

Fixed!!
The cable modem was also a router, unknown to me.....
I had them remove it and replaced with plain cable modem.....
done....
