Gapless FLAC playback in jukebox mode on Win 7

Postby gapless » Tue May 07, 2013 10:48 pm

This is my setup: I use apache server to proxy the localhost Subsonic server on a fast i5 Windows 7 64-bit notebook.

This is my problem: When I connect to Subsonic, either directly on the server machine or over the Internet using jukebox mode in Firefox, or the Android client in RC mode, there is an extremely annoying 1 second gap between cuts playing FLAC files. Since I listen mostly to classical and opera, these gaps disrupt the flow of music to an intolerable degree. MediaMonkey and foobar2000 play my FLAC media library smoothly, without introducing gaps between cuts, because they employ look-ahead buffering. I've read and tried everything I can find about this deficiency in Subsonic but nothing works. It's hard to believe this hasn't been fixed yet. Does anybody have a solution?
