server crash; playlist recovery?
Greetings, all:
My ubuntu server crashed due to problems with a RAID array, but I was fortunately able to backup my /var/subsonic folder--it was on the boot drive that ultimately became unbootable. Anyway, I reinstalled Ubuntu, copied the backup to /var/subsonic, and reinstalled Subsonic before I had the music drive mounted. Once I did have it mounted, I logged in and the DB was empty, along with the playlists. I rescanned the drive, and the DB populated, but the playlists were still empty. Crap.
That said, I noticed that the install seemed to have created a backup DB, so I shutdown subsonic, replaced the /var/subsonic/db with the /var/subsonic/db.backup folder and tried again. The DB was populated this time, but I still have no files in the playlists. Note: The only difference between the old system and the new is that the old path to the music (/media/music) was a regularly mounted RAID array, and the new path (/media/music) is a soft link to where the new mount path is.
Is it at all possible to recover these playlists? Some of them are quite large and would take a long time to rebuild from scratch. Note: I do have the M3Us downloaded from the server, but they only contain the URL the the stream, plus the file name of the song, not the full path.
Thanks!
