Video playback issues

Hello,

I just purchased subsonic, received my key and applied it to the server. When I try to stream any video, I get an error stating the Video is not found or access denied. Do I have to wait for the key on the server to activate? I have already restarted the NAS that the server is on.

I am using a slightly older version of subsonic (4.6). I downloaded a pre-made package from qnap for the install and I am not sure if I am able to update it.

Update:

I have successfully updated my server to 4.8 (build 3434), and the problem persists.

New update:

Only some of my music will play, the .flac files will not. I ensured the transcoding settings matched what is on the Recommended configuration page.

Well, After all day of trying to figure this out, I have come and hit a wall. I have been able to find the correct codes for the audio transcoding and I think the video transcoding is now correct, but when I play any video, it comes up choppy as hell and the cpu in the nas is pinned at 100 for ffmpeg. I have decided to move the server to my workstation and just point to the files on the nas. This opens up a whole new can of worms though.

Here are the audio commands that I found worked for flac

Step 1
Code: Select all
ffmpeg -i %s -v 0 -f wav -

Step 2
Code: Select all
lame -b %b --tt %t --ta %a --tl %l -S --resample 44.1 - -

And for the video

Step 1
Code: Select all
ffmpeg -ss %o -i %s -async 1 -b %bk -s %wx%h -ar 44100 -ac 2 -v 0 -f flv -

I will search solutions to my new two issues.
