[Android] Can't View Movies on Root Folder in App

Hey Everyone,
For some reason on the
Android app I am unable to see the Movies that are on the root of the folder. I can when I see them when I use the Web interface but not on the android app. Any reason why?

I also would like to know how to stop multiple players from showing up everytime I login. It's driving me insane. Each time a user logs in a new player is made... What can I do to stop this?

All files should be in folders - not in any root media directory.
There isn't anything you can do about the multiple players, it's part of the design an allows you to do multiple configurations for each user and/or device.
Not elegant - but very flexible. Newer versions of Subsonic will auto-clean unused players periodically. Instructions for bulk removal of player have been posted elsewhere in the forum.

What format are your movies in?
Do they appear in the desktop browser?

If I:\Movies is the path you entered in Subsonic, it won't show them. You need to point to I:\Movies, and then put your movies in a subfolder if I:\Movies.
I have mine split with /Videos/TV and /Videos/Movies, with /Videos as my "path" in Madsonic.

Yes indeed - I thought I explained that earlier ...
If the root folder is I:\Movies then each movie's files need to be inside it's own folder.
So, in Subsonic under Settings/Media folders, you enter:
I:\Movies
Then each movie is then place in it's own folder,
e.g.
I:\Movies\Top Gun\TOPGUN.mp4
The android app will not read any files placed in a root folder that is listed under Settings/Media Folders
Historically, it has been demonstrated that many folders with a relatively small number of files in each folder significantly improves performance over having a small number of folders with a large number of files in each folder. It just makes the db run faster and improve overall performance.
Not too mention it helps keep your storage better organized.
Nice catch Gurutech.

I'm a tad lost with what you're trying to say.

The individual files need to go into another folder one layer down.
/Movies/movie.mp4 - will not show the file.
/Movies/comedy/movie.mp4 - will.

That's such a messy file structure... There has to be a fix.

I see what your saying. Too bad it makes the Web UI look like crap. The nav bar on the left.

Now that I got this issue fixed, my phone won't play any movies. It will play TV just fine just no movies.
