Music files will not play

Hi,

So, this is a follow-up to a prior post regarding the fact that I am unable to access the content of my music folders.

For the few folders where I am able to see the content, I am able to add them to my playlist, but unable to play them, either from the browser (firefox 21.0) or from my Iphone (using either Substream app or Z-subsonic app). The substream app just crashes. The Z-subsonic app finds the folders but is unable to play any mp3.

I am on a mc OS X 10.6.8

Honestly, I am about to give up. Does anybody know if it is possible to recover the $12 from the one-year license? I have gone through all the steps: I have given the link to my hard drive, I have a username, password and license, and a personal subsonic.org link.
