What type of operating system are you running on your computer? Who is your cellular provider?

I'm having the same issue. It's been working fine over data for months, but in the past few days I can't connect over data. The friends that I lent out my account to are having the exact same issue. I'm running the server on Windows 7.

I'm on T-Mobile's unlimited plan (no bandwidth limits). My friends are on AT&T and Sprint. It just hangs at the retrying network screen until it gives up after four tries, telling me there is a network error. Over WiFi, it works fine. The list loads and it plays the songs. Although, I saw it fail on WiFi as well.

Anyone? This is supremely frustrating.

You are most likely experiencing failure of the port forwarding set up.

This is usually due to the ip of the server being changed by the router if it uses DHCP.

All explained in the tutorial section.

I fixed it. And yes it was, to an extent.

I had everything configured correctly. What changed, however, was that Comcast supplied a new modem that was also a router. So my Subsonic was configured to only work on devices feeding off of the old router. I didn't realize the Comcast model was ALSO a router, and that you can't disable/bridge it.

So I ditched my old router, configured the Comcast one entirely, and everything works fine again.

I always find it amusing that most "frustrated" posters mention all manner of things, EXCEPT the one glaring factor that caused the problem. LOL

Glad you got it fixed and are back up and running!
