Video Can't Stream on Android "Subsonic Old Version"??

Hello! I'm running Subsonic (ver??)/Music Cabinet 0.7.24 on my Win 7 PC . . .

It's running great AND streams well enough to my rooted Nook Color (non-current Android) using the Subsonic v3.3 app that I've had for a little while.

However . . . on my new Nook HD+ (stock and current Android flavor) using the current Subsonic app ver. 3.8 I cannot stream video! I get an error telling me that streaming is not supported on this version of SS, please update.

What could be the problem??

Correction......

The error says that the SS Server version is too old. Please update.....

Music Cabinet doesn't support the video playback that the newer version uses.

The newer version of subsonic? So am I to use Subsonic without the MC mod?

Music Cabinet was never designed with video playback in mind. Hakko stated that many times.

Unfortunately, Hakko hasn't visited the forum since May, so it appears that the development on Music Cabinet may be done.

Sadly, it appears that not much is going on with Subsonic either.

It seems that Madsonic is the only fork currently under active development.

Okay...... But I used to stream video almost every day. I just want to get back to that.

Were you using flash? As far as I know that is the only way the old client could play video. Go into settings on the app and change video type to flash.
