Personal URL not resolving

Hi Guys,

I have a personal URL http://xxxxxx.subsonic.org which is resolving a stale IP.
How can I have this refresh?

I can access subsonic from outside my network using a DynDns hostname and the correct port so I know all is working from that end but when
I use the subsonic URL the IP reported back is incorrect.

I have tried restarting the service.... then the PC with no luck.

Subsonic/Madsonic 5.0.3560.beta4
Windows 64 4gb Ram
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_25, Windows 7 (138.6 MB / 153.1 MB)

Appreciate anyone having some advice.

This all used to work then stopped.

Many Thanks
Hotfoot

The redirection service is working - just tested it to make sure it wasn't the Subsonic server.

This is usually sue to a change in ip address or firewall/port forwarding.

Test to see if port responds as open from canyouseeme.org. Your internal ip could have been changed by your router which would invalidate the port forward rule that was working.

It's always in the setup that passes the outside request for the port that doesn't get to the server that screws the pooch.

Verify internal ip address, port forwarding rule, and sometimes a router reboot helps.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

So I went to canyouseeme.org.... entered my port... All good so far the world can see me.

Rebooted PC... (note I've done this several times already over the last week)

Voila! We have liftoff... Subsonic all ok again.
Still a mystery but happy its working.

Thanks Again.

Kim

I am having a similar problem. I have just replaced an old router with a new one and doing that changed my external IP address. When I go to my subsonic.org address it try's to redirect me to my old IP address. Is there something I have to do to update subsonic to forward to the correct IP?

Thanks!

We've seen that a few times. Occasionally a router needs to be rebooted as well. Glad you got it!

Thanks for the fast reply! I did try that and it didn't change anything. Does it matter that I am using Madsonic? I tried enabling the Subsonic premium services but it says I need a licence key which I do have to use it.

EDIT: I found to to register the premium services for Subsonic from Madsonic. But now when I go to settings->network, it says that "Status: The web address "xxxxx" is already in use. Please select another." Do I have to create a new address? I have had this happen before but I don't remember what I did if anything.

Thanks again!

Anybody having issues today? This afternoon my URL stop resolving. I can still hit the service with my IP address though so not a port issue. Anyone??

Redirection server is not responding. Offline again.

Sindre is aware of it and a fix is being worked on.
