Song starts over - android 4.2.2

Just got a new phone, and every time it loads a new song, the song starts over as soon as it's finished downloading completely.
Previous phone was running 2.3.x, this one is running 4.2.2.
Kind of annoying... any ideas on how to fix?

Song starts. Download finishes. Song starts over. ...is there anything that can be done about this? This didn't happen with my old device...

I have a fork of the app on the play store called DSub that has the issue fixed. When it will be fixed in the official app is anyone's guess.

That's cool. Not sure I'm ready to pay for it though - is there a trial available to verify?

Just find it odd that this is only an issue on newer android device...

Possibly. Would prefer a trial first, to see if it works for my setup.
Transcoding all audio to ogg, as it was more efficient to use on 3G cell. Now that I have 4G, I suppose it matters less, but would still like to leave it using ogg.

edit: I should mention that I'm now on 4.4 (moto x), problem persists.

I just got my nexus 5 which is running android 4.4 and I'm having this same issue. The song starts playing, then when the song finishes downloading the song restarts from the beginning. If i replay the song again it plays through fine. I did not have this issue previously on my galaxy s3 running cyanogenmod 10.1.3.

This isn't a huge deal for songs I listen to often as they are cached locally....but quite annoying when listening to music that is not previously cached. Would love to see a update/fix for this from the official(free) app.
