Problem Description: On click to access folder contents, the error "Starring not supported. Server too old. Please upgrade" appears and blocks playback.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Playback Application and version: Subsonic Music Streamer for Android
Subsonic Version: app version 4.0
Server Version: 4.6 (build 2583) – December 6, 2011
Hardware Platform: w7 64-bit
Java Memory Limit: 162MB
Problem Filename: N/A
Output from ffmpeg -i: N/A
Last ten log file lines: N/A
I love and rely on Subsonic and have done so for years now. As of yesterday, this error appears only on my Nexus 7 running Android 4.3 tablet, not on my Samsung SGH-T989 phone. "Starring not supported. Server too old. Please upgrade."
I am not interested in "starring" or any of the other new features, in fact they seem like negative developments. What's more, I'm not interested in forever upgrading software that isn't broken, I don't have time to continually install new servers and then re-tweak the UI for my simple home stereo purposes. I just want to keep the functionality I've always enjoyed. My request is this, unless Sindre can remove this error check related to "starring" and allow me simple access to a legacy server... where can I find the previous version of the android app?
Fallback question, if I pay for the dsub app, will it have these same problems or can I expect legacy support?
Thank you!
