SSL on Windows - Completely Lost

I just purchased an SSL cert from cheapssl.com. I've installed these on exchange/windows servers but the process appears to be very different for Java things due to the embedded security stuff.
Either way, I have not found a step-by-step guide for helping to set this up...so any help would be extremely appreciated.
I am running Windows 7, I have the cert ready to download, I selected type as 'other' since jetty/java wasn't an option. It is asking for a CSR before downloading, I'm not sure where to get that.
