Can't access server!!!!

My free trial expired, so I then paid for a year subscription to premium.

After paying for the year I then typed my subsonic address in and it still says my trial has expired and I need to pay to upgrade!

I've tried opening subsonic with my start menu to which it brings up local host and says http error: 404, not found.

I really would like to be able to access my server seen as I've paid a year subscription and cannot enter my license key!!

Reboot the server, then retry opening from the system tray icon-Open in browser, which will verify the server has started.

Interesting -

If the server is responding from the Subsonic address to tell you the trial period has expired then the server is running and you are probably not typing the correct localhost address.

Try using localhost:port# in your browser.

I am typing the correct subsonic address in.

No joy with localhost:port# just directs me to a google search

Are you attempting this on the Server? This will only work when you are logged onto the host machine.

It doesn't make any sense that the server can generate the error msg. that the license is expired, but that it is not running. Is the associated service running on the host machine? What OS are you running? Which version of Subsonic d you have installed.

If in fact Subsonic is not running on the host machine, then you'll have to reinstall it. The license key should still be valid once you get Subsonic running properly.

When you can't access Subsonic for whatever reason, the first step is to log onto the host machine and attempt to access it from the browser on the local machine. If that doesn't work then check to see if the Subsonic service is running. Try a manual start if the service has stopped. If that doesn't work then you most likely will find it easiest to just do a re-install.

I've used the same machine the whole time. Windows 7 and Subsonic 4.8.

Subsonic service is running. Will delete and re-install to see if that gives any joy!

In theory you should be able to just rerun the setup exe. You might as well try the 4.9 beta 2 while you're at it.

It's not a bad idea to make a backup of C:\Subsonic before you do anything else.
