m4a problem & Blackberry Problem

Ok so I have two problems:

1. M4a can be recognized by 3.5 beta 2 however when I play them there is no sound. Regular MP3 files work great :)

2. I can't seem to get my blackberry 8330 to load the page correctly. It loads just like my browser does then keeps refreshing itself. I tried about every tweak and setting change in the Blackberry browser but no luck. Then I reset the browser to all defaults and no change.
-Is there a Jar File i can simply put on my blackberry to install? seems a little easier than typing in a long hostname.
-Does my blackberry even support the java utilities required?

Now for the setup info goodness:
Test and verified WAN access to the subsonic server.
Tested and verified localhost and wan playback.
-works only on mp3 nor functionality for m4a.
Blackberry 8330 Verizon
-has data plan
-the whole phone is Java based and barely a year on the market if I'm correct.

I'll Be more than happy to pm an admin with my hostname info so that it can be tested by him or herself personally.

update: it appears to be the transcoder as .wav files do not work either
