FC5 standalone "Unable to access jarfile.."

Postby brum » Mon Nov 10, 2008 6:09 pm

Hi,

I'm new to java deployment, I only have experience of php/apache deployment, so this question might be daft...

When executing the startup script on an FC5 machine with newest java (/usr/java/jre1.6.0_10) and the java variable set to '$JAVA_HOME/usr/java/jre1.6.0_10/bin/java', I get an error "Unable to access jarfile subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar". All Subsonic files are in "/var/subsonic/standalone".

Any clues where to change something, or how to check that the java installation is OK?

TIA,

brum

Try changing the script so that it says:
Code: Select all
... -jar /var/subsonic/standalone/subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar

Thank you, that sorted it out :)!

For some reason the .WAR file was expected to reside in /root/, but after I copied it there everything went smoothly.

Ah, yeah that's right. So it would probably've been better to change the script to do
Code: Select all
cd /var/subsonic/standalone

first.
