Network Error on Android and android app

I'm brand new to Subsonic, and I have my music on my Netgear ReadyNAS 102 ARM based NAS Version 4.8 (build 3434) – April 17, 2013 on Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_27, Linux (78.1 MB / 142.8 MB). The ports are open and redirected. I'm able to get to my library and play music on a PC going through the Web, but on my android phone, using Chrome, I can't seem to get it to play, but it connects and I see my library.

The real problem is with the Android App. When I go to my library, I get a Network Error that goes through 4 interactions of trying to connect, but it times out.

any help or direction here would be appreciated.

Are you using a *.subsonic.org address in your android app, or your IP address?

Also, if you are using the *.subsonic.org address and are on your home network with wifi, you may get that no connection error, due to DNS issues with the subsonic.org redirect that Sindre is using. The workaround I have found for this is to either turn off wifi (and use 3G/4G), or use another DDNS service like no-ip.com (which I what I use.)

Other than that, try variations of your site until it connects:
IP address
IP address:4040
*.subsonic.org
*.subsonic.org:4040
no-ip.com
no-ip.com:4040

One of those should connect.
