Losing ability to connect externally

I've got Subsonic Premium running on a cloud machine hosted by OVH. It works fine when the machine is freshly rebooted and for some period of time after that. However, days/weeks later, I won't be able to connect externally. This includes via desktop browser, Windows 8 phone, Windows tablet, etc.

  • I tried configuring "myname.subsonic.org", which registered fine, but also could not connect.
  • I know the machine itself is still accessible, as it also hosts separate HTTP and mail servers.
  • I can also RemoteDesktop into the machine, then I can use the local browser with localhost:4040, and the Subsonic server is still running.
  • I've checked the firewall settings, and they appear to be fine.
  • I've tried restarting the Subsonic windows service, and that didn't help.

When I reboot the machine, then all is fine again... for a while. The server is running Windows Server 2012.

Any idea what's going wrong?

I rebooted my server when I posted my original message, and I was able to connect just fine. Today I just discovered that I cannot connect again. Any one have any idea why Subsonic stops responding to external access? (It still responds to local browser access.)
