Subsonic Forum

Hi,

I have SubSonic up and running and can access it using the registered link from within my home network (pazgaz.subsonic.org).
I have set a static IP for the pc on which SubSonic is installed and portfowarding (ports 8085 and 80) to that pc on my router.
CanYouSeeMe.org tells me that port 8085 is open.
I have restarted my router several times and disabled https on Subsonic control panel.

I still cannot access subsonic using pazgaz.subsonic.org:8085 or the <ip from canyouseeme.org>:8085, also tried using my phone (wifi disabled, using 3g) and no success.

I'm out of ideas and would appreciate help. Thanks!

No need for port on the redirect server:
http://pazgaz.subsonic.org

If you do a 'Home' server entry on a client, use the LAN IP WITH the port (192.168.1.13:8085), but WAN only requires your vanity url, unless you run an alternate dynamic dns service.

It doesn't work with IP either (using the ip canyouseeme shows and adding the port).

Your vanity url is working fine, no port entry is needed.

Carefully re-read my post above..it has your functioning vanity url linked and working, and I indicated a port entry is only required when using a LAN IP, not your WAN IP.

I believe I am having a similar issue. My vanity URL is somercamb.subsonic.org. I cannot access it outside of my home wifi. I check this by turning off my wifi on my phone and try to access it on 4G, but I am not getting through. Here is the odd part: the IP I can access my vanity URL on at home is the WiFi router's IP (begins with 192), but it is not accessible via my external IP (209....). However, I can access my router's setup page via the 192 and 209 IP addresses....
