Subsonic Forum

Hi. Been updating my library recently which has included re-ripping some CDs at better bit rates and also adding some new downloads. The albums show up in Subsonic, either in PC or on Android phone and tablet but they only show as a coloured square with album title and artist and, even though all the tracks are shown, none of them will play. I don't get an error message, just nothing. I have attached a screen capture of an example of the non-playing albums.

I have tried re-installing the PC server and all mobile software but I get the same results each time. Is there perhaps a way of deleting the subsonic database and re-building it from scratch? Or does anyone have any other ideas what could be wrong?

UPDATE: I think this is related to the recent Java 1.7 problems posted elsewhere. Everything before the Java update plays and works fine. Everything added after, not working. Can anyone else confirm this or had this same problem.

Repeat: despite the error report on log-in, once dismissed, everything added before the Java 1.7 update seems to play without problems. any files added to database after Java update isn't working.

I can't confirm your statement.
My setup:
Subsonic 4.9 jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_45, Windows Server 2008 R2 (88,2 MB / 145,0 MB)
Added an album just 10 minutes ago, did a scan on my mediafolders and the new album was displayed and all the files play normally.
Have you checked your log-files for any errors?
Do your files play outside of subsonic using Mediamonkey VLC or some other mediaplayer?
Could there be an issue with security-settings on the new folders?

All tracks play fine in all media players. Bubble upnp on my three android devices finds, plays tracks and displays all album art perfectly. Only Subsonic has issues.

For anyone technical, here's the error message I get when I first log in: If anyone can make sense of it, please advise. It's all gobbledygook to me, although, the information at the top suggests it is a java error.
