Subsonic down?

Since I install the new version, I can´t connect to my server.
Yes, it works fine, all my config was fine, routers, modem, etc.

I already check all again and nothing, just can´t connect at all.

Just for me ? :?

I have not yet installed the subsonic update. However, I can no longer access my subsonic connection remotely as of yesterday. I have not had a chance to trouble shoot from my server at home. But I'm wondering if this is related to the problem you are having.

When trying to connect in the browser I just get the message...

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to <the specific ip>:4040

Also, I can no longer connect via iSub via my iPhone.

I did have a chance last night at least to confirm that the server itself was still up as it was still streaming music to my home stereo. The subsonic service may have just shut down for some reason. I'll update this thread once I actually get a chance to log in to my server at home.

So I was able to get things working again by logging on to my server, then stopping and restarting subsonic. Perhaps you might try that also if you've not already. I then upgraded to 4.9 and everything still works.

I'm having the same problem. I cannot connect to subsonic remotely anymore as of yesterday. I can still browse my collection and add tracks to the play queue, but it never actually buffers anything anymore.
I have just updated to the new version thinking this might solve my problem, but it did not.
I have also removed and reinstalled my subsonic client on Android, and even tried Ultrasonic, both appear to be able to connect and let me browse my collection, but it's still not downloading anything.
The browser version is not playing anything anymore either. Any help?

Yeah I just noticed I had the same problem. Upgraded to 4.9, restarted the service twice and I still got nothing when I try connecting from my laptop but everything's fine on the host box and the web address even works.

I've been having the same problem for a couple of weeks. Everything works fine on my local network and the settings tell me that the port has been successfully forwarded, but it just times out whenever I try and connect remotely. I've been using Subsonic for over a year with no problems until now. I'm upgraded to 4.9 and have the latest Java.

Where exactly is the point of failure? Does canyouseeme.org see your server's port? Does the server run a separate firewall? Did it get updated and lose its permissions? Is your port manually configured from router's interface? Etc. Etc.
My 4.9 server running fine LAN and WAN using vanity URL, so this seems a config issue.
(Since there are several posters in this thread this response is generalised...to get you thinking about methodic investigation towards solution).

I seem to have found my problem using the inspector:

Code: Select all
GET http://192.168.0.161:1024/stream?player=6&id=46579 403 (Streaming is forbidden for user admin)

I've found a thread about this issue here. The following solution is suggested:

Subsonic gives error 403 if the user associated with the player ("admin" in this case) is not authorized to stream music.

As a work-around you can:
- delete the player (from Settings > Players)
- use another user than "admin" (create one in Settings > Users)

However, when I try to go to settings, I get an "Access denied" message. How can I restore the permissions for my account?

No, when I try http://jcnaweb.subsonic.org , poff. Doesn´t appear anynome the login screen. Returns a error.
I never was able to canyouseeme.org return a "ok, I see you", always return "no, I can´t see you", but always works fine. I don´t have a firewall. Permissions where?
My port was fine, I just configured one time and always streaming my music fine. I really don´t know what changes sundally.

Estado: Successfully forwarding port 4040.
Estado: jcnaweb.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (NoRouteToHostException)

Obviously you aren't going to connect if canyouseeme cant see you. You need to manually configure your port. Consult your router manual for specific details.

Just wanted to let you guys know I fixed my issue as well.
I just upgraded my 5 year old desktop PC from where I run Subsonic and started over fresh, completely re-installed and rescanned my collection. I have admin rights again and everything is working perfectly.
