SSL firewall problem

Postby heddhunter » Fri Mar 07, 2014 5:01 pm

If I set up Subsonic to use SSL, I can only use it within my home network. My hostname.subsonic.org redirects to http://myip:4040/ (not SSL). Port 4040 redirects to https://myip:4443/, but Subsonic is not requesting port forwarding for port 4443, so the connection fails. How are people doing making this work from outside the firewall? I could manually set up port forwarding on the router, I guess, but that seems really inelegant, especially since Subsonic is already requesting NATPMP for one port. It should just do it for both, shouldn't it?
