Unable to remotely connect.

Postby tomkiki1 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 2:22 am

I'm hoping some one can help me. I lost remote connectivity to my subsonic server.

I am running a microsoft home server (Microsoft home server with power pack 3) that houses the subsonic client. everything seem good there (with the client). I can open up my subsonic web site and see my files that are on my server at home (or is this just cached information?). I ran "canyouseeme" on the port that I am forwarding to subsonic and it can successfully access the port. I have uninstalled subsonic client on the server and reinstalled the latest version with the same (correct) configuration I had been using.

On my devices (androids and a window 8.1 PC) I want to connect, I can connect to the subsonic test site, but I get a network error when attempting to connect to my subsonic server.

An update of java was successfully installed yesterday. Also security updates on the server were installed. I have rebooted my server (several times) and have restarted my router.

The IP I am using for the server is at the upper range of possible IP address on my router.

I'm at a loss as to what to try next. I am hoping all you smart folks have some suggestions.

Thanks, Tom

Can any one help me please? I'm going on a trip and would like to take my music with me.

Further information. I can log into the subsonic server and see my audio files, I can update them so I know the subsonic service is connecting to my server. I just can not log in from any other device , toshiba laptop or samsung Galaxy G4 or a Galaxy Tab 3. I get network errors.

Thanks for you help.

Give Subsonic port 4040. Your Aspire home server is already broadcasting on port 80.
