installing subsonic 4.9 on Mac OS 10.4

I've downloaded different versions (4.9 going down to 3.8 ) of subsonic and none of them could be installed on a mac mini with Mac OS 10.4. The message informs that the package (I guess *.pkg file) needs Mac 0S 10.5 or later. Is it possible to install subsonic 4.9 on Mac OS 10.4? If so, where I can find information on how to do it?
