Cannot connect externally

Hi there,
I've had Subsonic working correctly for around a week now - today it decided to drop out. I can still access it perfectly from my home network, just externally that I can't. Port forwarding is all OK, the error message I'm getting is 'Status: wilzyk.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)'
I have not changed any settings etc since I got it to work - does anyone have any ideas what could be up with it? Thanks in advance!

Is your server lan IP static? Can you test your port on canyouseeme.org and pass the test?

It's not - currently on DCHP. I'm with BT in the UK, can I/do I need a static IP? I have just checked and can not pass the test on canyouseeme - it passed fine when I set it up, is this because I do not have a static IP?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions (new to this!) and thanks for the response

Yes...server needs to be on a fixed lan address. I'd recommend a read of the Windows Setup Guide here in Tutorials. :)
