Custom Domain not Resolving to new IP Address

Postby tomruffner » Tue Jun 24, 2014 2:26 am

My external IP address recently changed and my custom domain will not update to resolve to the new IP address. I am able to access my subsonic server using my new IP address, but when I enter my custom domain, it is still pointing to my old IP address. I have unchecked "Access your server over the Internet using an easy-to-remember address." in the Network settings in an attempt to unregister my domain, and reregister it, but I keep getting the following error:

"Failed to test web address. subsonic.org (UnknownHostException)"

I have tried a new domain name with the same result.

Is there a cache setting somewhere that maintains my old IP address?

Thanks in advance for the help.

It appears Windows Home Server is using the port.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out. The DNS servers I had my Windows Home Server pointing to were no longer working. I updated with my current ISP's DNS servers and everything works again.
