Shuffle Playlist & Save without rename?

I am finding the playlists management to be very inefficient. I build a playlist (ie. best of Coldplay) and save it, but then I want to shuffle all the songs. From what I'm seeing, in order to do this, I have to load the playlist, shuffle the songs and then "Save as Playlist" again. Is there not a way to just shuffle the tracks and "update" the playlist? I couldn't find anything in the playlist editor to do this either. Any help is appreciated. thanks.
