How can I resolved untrusted site plz help

I can access my music but on my phone and other PC's I get this message
The site's security certificate is not trusted!


I think this is why I can't play music on the phone app. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will need to read up on how certificates work but unless you pay for your own and associate it with your own domain you will always get that message. It was how the whole system was designed.

But more than likely the certificate warning is not the reason your phone won't connect.

Go to http://canyouseeme.org and test the port that Subsonic is using. 4040 is the default - unless you've changed it.

You are aware, of course, that this forum is riddled with posters claiming the port forwarding is fine until they actually check it at canyouseeme.

I'm getting your logon page so you are set up correctly. If the vanity name isn't working then there may be problems at subsonic.org which does occasionally happen.

Try just using your ip address and port# in the phone's address to verify connection.

i.e.: http://yourexternalip:4040/

Once you've confirmed we should both edit out your ip and port# from these posts.

You can also PM your vanity name to me if you want me to test from here. I've tested another site and the redirection seems to be working fine.

When your phone app fails is it using wifi inside your network or using the phones data carrier? Some routers have difficulty with phones inside on wifi resolving an internal address using redirection. If that's the case you will need to set up a local access address for wifi using the localip:port# e.g. 192.168.1.10:4040 and then setup a alternate address for when your on the phone' network. http://myserver.subsonic.org

Also remember that the proper vanity address can only use http to get to your site from outside.

Do NOT enter https://myserver.subsonic.org as redirection the site is http - once redirected to your ip Subsonic will switch the connection to htpps.
