two different folders but shared name problem?

hi

i have two folders on my nas drive, one called "flacs" other called "mp3s"

in media folder settings page i have referred to *both* locations as "mymusic" because I only want one "root" when browsing

problem is.....

if i have the same folder name (artist name) under each folder it will only index the contents of "\nas\flac\artists1\" and not "\nas\mp3s\artist1\" when i select artists1 when browsing media folders

is this by design please?
