I upgraded to subsonic 5.0 beta 1, and now music won’t stream to any android devices. It starts the download then just stops, and the music won’t play

This is using wifi or data. Subsonic log doesn’t seem to show any errors either.

Problem Description: App will see library but when you start a song, it appears to download then just stops. No track will play on either wifi or data
Troubleshooting Steps: Restarted server, tested different mobile phones and user accounts
Playback Application and version: Latest Subsonic android App on Galaxy Note 3/S4
Subsonic Version: 5.0.beta1 (build 4046) – May 24, 2014
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_21, Windows Server 2012 (52.8 MB / 100.2 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows Server 2012
Java Memory Limit: 64MB of 1024MB
Output from ffmpeg -i: N/A

OK, i've managed to fix it by amending my transcoding settings.

This has annoyed me as i did not do anything except install the newer version of Subsonic, so i don't know how this suddenly broke my FLAC to MP3

New transcoding settings :

ffmpeg -i %s -ab 224k -id3v2_version 3 -map_metadata 0 -map 0:0 -ar 44100 -ac 2 -v 0 -f mp3 -

Previous setting (default!!)-

ffmpeg -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -

Anyone know what on earth happened?

Nope, not working again

Also it's now rebooting both my Note 3 and my wife's Galaxy S4..

Might do a complete reinstall and bin off this dodgy beta build

I was having problems that were resolved by adding -map 0:0 to the transcode directive. However, I also added it to my downsample command. That has worked now across all my tracks, flac or otherwise, embedded cover or not.

Hope this helps someone.

I can confirm the problem - audio music playing does not work after beta update.

I can also confirm chugmonkey's fix - audio playback is restored after adding the paramater above to the transcode directive in the Subsonic web interface.
