Subsonic will not play AAC and FLAC files

Hello, I searched the forum but cannot find anyone having this issue before. About a month ago I noticed that any new AAC or FLAC files I add to Subsonic will not play. MP3's are not an issue. If I look at the log file I do not see any errors. It does not even appear to buffer. If I'm running subsonic through chrome, I can move the play cursor slightly over a few seconds into the song and it will start playing. I cannot do this for isub. I have not touched the transcoding at all, it is set as default. I have not done an upgrade recently to explain this change, but I am using the most up to date version. 5.0.beta1 (build 4046). In the example below, I added this AAC album last night. In chrome, I select play all and this is the log entry.

[7/17/14 8:20:02 AM EDT] DEBUG TranscodeInputStream Starting transcoder: [c:\subsonic\transcode\ffmpeg] [-i] [l:\music\Quicksand\Manic Compression\01 Quicksand - Backward.m4a] [-ab] [128k] [-v] [0] [-f] [mp3] [-]

Older AAC and FLAC files I have added in the past play fine. It's only the newer files i've added within the past month.

Any help you could provide I would appreciate. Thanks.

I can't tell for the aac files but please check whether you have album cover arts embedded within the media files. I've had problems transcoding files too until I removed all cover arts from the files.

Thank you for your suggestion. I changed the transcoding when playing through Google Chrome to AAC and it is working now. I tried this with isub but it does not work.

I found this in a prior thread. I changed the "MP3 Audio" transcode to the following and now isub works fine.

"ffmpeg -i %s -map 0:0 -b:a %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -"

You may need to do this for your Downsampling as well, just add in
Code: Select all
-map 0:0
. This is happening because of cover art embedded in files (plenty of relevant threads at the moment).

So, this is strange. I've been on 4.9 since it came out with no problems transcoding flac to mp3. I have not upgraded to 5.0b1, but suddenly my flac files will no longer stream (same symptoms that people have been discussing over 5.0b1). These are files that definitely HAVE streamed before. It's very bizarre... because nothing about my setup has changed, but it looks like the same issue (no stream, no sound, but no log errors). I tried adding making the changes recommended in this thread to the transcoding scripts, but they don't fix the problem.

Any ideas?

Try running the ffmpeg-command subsonic would run on the server. Maybe you will get more information.
