Access your server over the Internet - redirect url broken

My base access url is www.myserver.aok/valarkin/subsonic

I put a prefix in the network settings and then go to that url and I get
my.ip.address/valarkinsubsonic/
(error about that not being a path)

Any idea why it is dropping the / ?

Try http://www.myserver.aok:Port#

http://www.myserver.aok:4040 - if you used the default

I have no control over what is submitted to subsonic.org as the base url. It simply is what it is.
The problem seems to lie with the way the "Access your server over the Internet using an easy-to-remember address." handles a target address containing a sub-directory.
