NEW ROUTER --HELP

Postby coacharnold » Thu Jul 31, 2014 12:47 pm

Hi Folks,

I just got a new router, the Buffalo N300 DD-wrt. I have opened up ports 4040 and 80 on it and I still cannot connect to subsonic from the outside. Everything appears to be working ... accept for the fact that I cannot connect to subsonic from outside my network.

I know I'm most likely missing something stupid.... can I get an extra blob of grey matter thinking about this?

Thanks so much for any help

Tim

In addition to opening port 4040, you need to "port forward" it to the computer you are running Subsonic on.

You can check www.portforward.com for instructions specific to your router.
