Subsonic Forum

I am using a Roku stick and I have the subsonic tv app.

I can connect to the site, list all the video files but when I try and play I just get a black screen. on the server site it shows as if it is streaming and the data sent is climbing but on the tv side there is no sound or video, just a black screen.. could this be because im using the Roku stick and not the Roku 3?

any help would be great!

What version of Subsonic are you using?

We recently set up streaming from a Silicon Dust HDHR

but our implementation only works with 4.8 and 4.9 - it fails on the latest 5.0 beta.

We haven't determined why yet and as of now don't intend to pursue it further as getting something like this integrated into a Subsonic release as a native feature isn't likely.

Going forward we are exclusively focusing on getting this working and natively supported in the Madsonic fork.

The Subsonic Server is 4.9
