Songs fail to play via browser, but play fine elsewhere
Posted: Wed Aug 27, 2014 9:40 amI've been running into an issue more and more frequently lately, and I'm not sure what the cause of it is, I've checked all of the transcoding information in the docs, and tried various other things as well, with no success.
Some songs are not playing when I try to play them through the web browser, it sits at 0 seconds for about 2 minutes, then moves on to the next song. If I load up the same song through the subsonic android app, the song plays just fine. If I go to another browser, it also fails.
Some songs, as a test, I ran through the following with ones giving me problems:
I kept the bitrate exactly as the original song was, and gave it a new file name. Suddenly it became hit and miss in the browser; a few songs that I ran through there as a test worked in the browser, but some still would not.
A test of the same song, first in the subsonic app (and I made sure to clear the android's subsonic cache before trying so I wasnt getting a cached result):
Then a test of the same song from the browser again
If I run the command as subsonic does:
I get data, I cant read it of course, but I get data.
Here is the subsonic log of a song that failed, I ran the 'conversion' on, and worked (Note there is a .mp3 and a .2.mp3):
