Tried Everything, Can't Get Subsonic To Work Anymore

I've been using Subsonic for almost 4 years now without any major issues. This has been through several physical moves and changes of internet service providers, routers, and computers. I purchased a license back when I first started using it and believe I'm grandfathered in as far as what's now the premium service is concerned. And like I said, I never had an issue before now.

A couple of weeks ago I was having difficulties accessing my library at my new house (after 10 months of no issues), both on my phone and on my browser. I played around with a few things, rescanned folders, and it more or less worked, although one folder in particular just wouldn't add to my library. Fast forward to the past couple of days and I can't even access my library at all, either by going through my browser to the physical address (kstublen.subsonic.org) or on my phone.

I've played around with setting up a static IP address and changing port forwarding, but nothing has worked. And I don't really see a reason why that would be needed at this point since nothing has changed in my circumstances.

It's really bumming me out that after all these years I can't use a service I've grown so dependent upon. And I've always preferred Subsonic to other options like Google Play or Audiogalaxy for a variety of reasons so I don't want to have to make a switch.

Can anyone help me get back to where I was before today? I would be very appreciative of any help I can get. Thank you.

EDIT: Went back and found the guidelines for posting a help request, so here is the information that was recommended I include:

Problem Description: Cannot access Subsonic in browser or on phone
Troubleshooting Steps: Have tried setting static IP address and enabling/changing port forwarding
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface
Subsonic Version: Cannot access Subsonic Web Interface
Server Version: Cannot access Subsonic Web Interface
Hardware Platform: Windows
Java Memory Limit: Don't Know
Problem Filename: N/A
Output from ffmpeg -i: N/A
Last ten log file lines: Cannot access Subsonic Web Interface

---

In addition to the standard "Problem Loading Page / Unable to Connect" page I also get the following message at times when I play around with the port forwarding:

HTTP ERROR: 503
SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
RequestURI=/
Powered by jetty://

This seems not to be a problem of subsonic. Please check your port forwarding rules and settings again step by step. Are you using a dyndns service? If yes also check these settings.

It just doesn't make sense that it's an error with port forwarding since it never was a problem with how it was set up before. I am not using a dyndns service. I'm going to try and uninstall everything (Subsonic, Java) and then reinstall the latest versions of Java and Subsonic and re-set up static IP address and port forwarding. Any tips?

Uninstalling Subsonic (again) and deleting all directory entries along with uninstalling Java, then re-installing the latest version of Java and the latest non-beta of Subsonic seemed to work. Not sure what the problem actually was, but either way it's working now. Thanks for the input.

This happened to me in almost identical fashion. Everything was fine and working for a long time.

Then, I moved cross country (U.S.) and everything was fine for about two months. Then, wham out of nowhere it just completely stopped working no matter what IP Address I had fed it so I went to an alternate product.

A few months after that I bought a new computer and decided to give my old subsonic account a go and everything came up fine.

However about a year after that it just died out again and uninstalling/reinstalling did not fix the issue. I came up with a solution that has worked since anytime I have had connection problems.

Check to make sure your ISP hasnt changed your IP Address (ie your subsonic server's IP Address). Also, make sure that if you are using some kind of a router that you follow the instructions for Port Forwarding,etc... and that your router is applying these settings to the correct connection (or port if hard-wired). I would try this fix prior to uninstalling or reinstalling.
