Nav bars not loading when running service as local user

So I've been encountering this strange issue that I haven't be able to resolve.
First, let me describe the setup:
I have two network devices I pull media from. One is a NAS device and the other is a remote computer. I have the subsonic service set up to run under a local admin user named "Subsonic"
Then, i have each of those devices set up to receive this local account. Now, i should add that this configuration has worked out quite well for the past six months or so. However, lately after I log in, I find that the top and left navigation bars fail to load.

If I change the subsonic service's "log on as.." back to local system account, both bars load fine but I can no longer access my remote devices.
I feel like I'm stuck in an either/or situation. Basically, how can I configure subsonic to connect to my remote devices AND still load fully?

Rebooting.
Reinstalling subsonic
Upgrading to the Beta version
