Will subsonic do what i want?

Hi,

I am looking to create a music server using a rasberry pi.

What i need to achieve is the following:-

Must be able to connect my pi to my amplifier home sound system.

Must be able to stream my music library on any device mobile/computer

Must have a app that i can just select a song on my server and then as long as my hifi is turned on it can play through it

Will subsonic be able to achieve this?

Hello. I been running a subsonic server on my raspberry over a year, and it works like a charm. But, i don't stream videos and i don't transcode files on the fly so i can't comment on these

Yes, subsonic has a feature call jukebox mode, to do that http://www.subsonic.org/pages/features.jsp
