Hello All
yesterday I have updated Subsonic to version 5.0.
Today I noticed that when I open Subsonic (localhost) in Internet Explorer (8,10 or 11) webpage opens fine but music won't play.
Everything else works fine (adding to playlist, chat, search)
When I open it with ip address (on local computer) it works fine and I can listen to music.
In Google Chrome it works both ways, with localhost and with ip address.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Well, it seems like the newly implemented Chromecast feature has some reasons to do with it:



The only way to fix this is via the source code. Sindre must take a look at this and apply a patch in order to make it work under IE once again.
The last javascript error seems the only viable reason why the player doesn't work under Internet Explorer. Once an uncaught error emerge, a lot of javascript engines cease to run the rest of the code, thus can potentially "break" the web page.

So I understand that I need to wait for a version update from Subsonic?

Basically yep, if Sindre ever see this post of course! I suggest you to install Google Chrome or Firefox until this is fixed.
