Can't use Web Player outside of local network.

Hi All.

Curious problem: I can't get the Subsonic web player to work outside of my network. Here's the catch: I CAN use Subsonic from the iSub app. Port forwarding is set up properly via 8085. My router is a Linksys wrt54GL running the supplied firmware. My subsonic redirect address is simonsonics.subsonic.org. It works fine on my iPhone over 4G. When I go to the same address via firefox from a computer outside of my network, the redirect works, but Subsonic fails to show the login screen, and I get a generic 'unable to connect' message in Firefox. I've also tested IE and it doesn't work either.

What conditions could lead to subsonic working ok through a phone app client and NOT ok using the built-in web player?

Thanks much.

ps. I'm a programmer by trade so I understand what should be happening, but I do have a soft spot in my skill set for troubleshooting networking issues.

pps. Using Subsonic Premium version 5.00 Build 4100

Is it at work ? Is it possible that your work firewall blocks all ports except for 80 ? and perhaps 8080 ? They did that in my place.

Very odd, as I get to the login screen no problem..using Chromebook. It even says 'hello!' :)
