Subsonic 5.0 won't play WMA files in 'JUKEBOX' mode

Hi Everyone,

I've noticed after upgrading to 5.0 that some WMAs won't play in JUKEBOX mode. Reading some other forum topics, this seems to be something to do with lossless wma's. Most people have found a solution by either converting their files to mp3s or not using the JUKEBOX mode.

i'm not really in a position to convert all my WMAs over to mp3s at the moment and JUKEBOX mode is needed as subsonic is used and accessed by a number of computers on a network to queue music up. I don't think there is any other way.

What has changed in 5.0 that has caused this as I didn't have an issue previously? I take it I may need to change something in the 'transcoding' settings but I don't know what.

Thanks for any help!

David

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this problem. I found that setting some transcoding settings specific to wma works on all players except the jukebox player.

Has anyone managed to get lossless wma's to play via the jukebox? If so, what transcoding or what did you use to do so?
